49) Drew Pearson

Drew Pearson, who has been christened “Mr. Clutch”, was known for having a hand in three of the NFL’s Top 75 Moments, ranked in 1994.

Known as “Mr. Clutch” because of his proficiency for making some of the most iconic receiving plays in NFL history, such as the “Hail Mary”, the 50-yard bomb that won the 1975 NFC Divisional Round of the NFC Championship over the Minnesota Vikings, Drew Pearson is the only member of the 1970s NFL All-Decade First Team who is not enshrined in Canton. I felt for Mr. Pearson when he expressed his disappointment over not being named to the NFL’s Centennial class in 2020.


Drew took the time to assure me that God has an awesome plan for me, and he even threw in the “Hail Mary”…thank you so much, Mr. Pearson, for taking the time to write me this uplifting response! Hail Mary, indeed!
