Bob “Boomer” Brown was one of the most explosive offensive linemen of the 1960s.

Bob “Boomer” Brown was one of the most explosive offensive linemen of the 1960s. “The Boomer” was a six-time Pro Bowler, playing for the Eagles, Rams, and Raiders, this was a guy who could just obliterate the defensive line. Brown was also a member of the 1960s NFL All-Decade Team.


I am especially flattered and honored to have received a response from the Boomer. I left him the option if he was interested in responding, to leave it to a family member to respond, because I knew Brown had been dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome, something my mother has been dealing with for quite some time. However, I am honored that Brown went out of his way to personally respond despite his ailment, and I will be forever grateful to him for that! Thank you, Boomer!


PS: Those of you autograph collectors out there who may be thinking about sending Brown items to sign from autograph collecting information floating around the internet: I ask that you please respect the Boomer’s wishes to no longer respond to fan mail and not send him items to sign. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a painful ordeal on the hands.
