Got a great response after settling back to the NOLA area from two-time winning coach of the big game, and future Hall of Famer, Tom Flores! This man is one of only two NFL personalities in the league’s history to win the big game as a player, head coach, and assistant coach. Flores is also the first Hispanic coach and first minority coach to lead his team to a ring, and Flores led the Raiders to two: 1980 and 1983. His 87 victories as Raiders’ head coach are second-most in the franchise’s history as well.
Flores certainly gave me not only among the best advice I received of the NFL greats who wrote me but arguably among the best compliments in what he sees in my perseverance as I went through my recovery…I am honored, Mr. Flores, and I offer my extended gratitude!
