Shortly after the Coaches category nominees for the Centennial Class of the Hall of Fame were announced, I wrote to some of those great coaches, and I heard from one of those nominees…Mike Holmgren was one of the best quarterback-molding coaches in NFL history, grooming Joe Montana and Steve Young of the 49ers as the team’s offensive coordinator, as well as, as I remember as a kid, Brett Favre with the Packers as their head coach, to be megastars, and won a total of three rings with those two teams.
Holmgren sent me a convincing message encouraging me to keep my faith in order. I thank Mr. Holmgren very, very much for giving me that reminder.
